Nonprofit educational group Art Jewelry Forum has recently appointed Yvonne Montoya as their newest executive director, starting December 7th. She boasts a Master of Fine Arts in metals from the University of Wisconsin as well as a BFA art history and criticism from UC San Diego.
Fellow board co-chairs Raïssa Bump, and Sienna Patti had some kind words to say regarding the AJF's newest member. “We’re proud to say that the baton is being passed from one incredible leader to another. Yvonne brings to this job an exceptional combination of strong communication skills, energy, and passion for the arts and jewelry.”
Montoya said in a statement that, “I’m deeply honored to have been chosen to lead Art Jewelry Forum. I greatly admire the work that has been done thus far and am excited to join forces with this dynamic and growing organization.” Her 15-years experience in the jewelry industry will surely aid her in this newest role for the AJF.
