Eran Zini has recently been appointed as the Managing Director for the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), replacing Eli Avidar who left the company to work on his own cryptocurrency startup Carats.io.
Zini worked in both government and business positions before receiving his new position at the IDE. Prior to joining the IDE, Zini served Israel as head of government relations and regulation as well as advisor to the Israeli minister of justice. His collegiate experience at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem earned him a BA in political science and international relations as well as an MBA in international management from the College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon LeZion.
The Israel Diamond Exchange has 3,100 members and is based in Ramat Gan. It is considered to be the largest diamond exchange in the world. Avidar has also been replaced as managing director of Israel Diamond Institute by Aviel Elia, who will oversee promotion of the Israeli diamond business.
