Carolee has recently signed on Biagio Galotti as their new creative director for fall of 2018. The costume jewelry brand is often carried in well-known department store franchises like Bloomingdales and Macy's.
Galotti is set to bring his Gucci and Swarovski experience to the forefront of this new chapter for Carolee, implementing “elevated materials,” like freshwater pearls, high-shine metals, colored gemstones and cubic zirconia into design elements. He also plans to use “the latest production techniques,” according to the company.
The company's marketing, advertising and sales strategy will be handled by Galotti as well, and his first collection with Carolee has a release date in 2019. A higher price-point capsule will also be introduced during the 2018 holiday season, including $25 for freshwater pearl stud earrings while eventually hitting $250 for necklace styles. Carolee will also be etching a "C" logo on all of their jewelry from the fall 2018 collection onward.
