Former Starbucks vice president of global digital marketing, Alexandra Wheeler will be joining the ranks of Blue Nile. The University of Washington graduate's 20 years of experience in the digital marketing field had made her an obvious choice for the diamond jewelry business's new chief marketing officer.

CEO Jason Goldberger praised Blue Nile's new hire in a statement, saying that Wheeler is “a transformational leader with a proven track record in driving results for some of the world’s most notable brands." Goldberger was newly hired in the eight months after Bain Capital and Bow Street's 2016 purchase of the previously public Blue Nile. 


He continued in his statement on Wheeler, saying that “She will be a tremendous asset to Blue Nile’s continued growth and commitment to our customers. Alex will focus on creating an integrated and meaningful brand experience for a digital audience while leveraging our industry expertise to serve them."
