A longtime member of the jewelry industry, Peter Smith has become Mémoire's newest president. Mémoire is owned by Chow Tai Fook and specializes in wedding bands. Monday will be Smith's first day in his new role, stepping away from his former position as president of Vibhor, the favorite of independent jewelers for their private-label diamond jewelry.
Smith's mission for the company will be to help build their private-label initiatives throughout the North American continent. His experience in the industry goes as far back as the 1980s with his first role in Whitehall Jewelers as their store manager.
Smith then spent eight years as sales manager for Tiffany & Co. and then ten more with Hearts On Fire, which acquired Mémoire in 2004 and is now owned by Chow Tai Fook alongside the latter company. He worked as
