The U.K.-based fashion designer Polly Wales is leading the charge with a handful of her jewelry design compatriots. Together they have raised $60,000 in support for nonprofits that are in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Polly Wales, Jane Taylor, Jennie Kwon, and Jonne Amaya are the independent jewelry brands that have been hosting digital raffles. Each winner receives a ticket that will give them a chance to win some high-quality jewelry as seen on Instagram. Raffle tickets are $15-25.
The nonprofits that will be receiving the donations include Black Lives Matter L.A. and SNAP 4 Freedom from the #JewelersForChange initiative. Within 24 hours alone, Wales had raised $22,000 in donations when she gave folks a chance to win a unique Confetti ring (seen below).
Maggi Simpkins commemorated the donation with a post on Instagram:
