The National Jeweler Retailer Hall of Fame has been around since 1989, and will now include one recent addition in Helene Zadok of Houston's Zadok Jewelers. Both Helene and her husband Dror will be the newest inductees. The couple opened Zadok Jewelers in 1976 after paying a small visit to family members in Houston, then choosing to reside in Texas on a more permanent basis.

“Without my wife, I would not … be where I am today,” Dror Zadok said in a statement to National Jeweler. “She’s my co-everything. She was right next to me.”

Both Dror and Helene will be inducted under the Single-Store Independent category alongside other members of the 2018 class such as Cathy Tivol (Multi-Store Independent) as well as J.C. Penney’s senior VP and general merchandise manager for the jewelry department, Pam Mortensen. The Hall Of Fame list of inductees will be printed in mid-May prior to the shows in Las Vegas and published online at around that timeframe as well.
