The Royal Family and the Queen were in high spirits as they took in the show put on by BBC One and BBC Radio. Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry (along with Meghan Markle) were all in attendance. Absent from the festivities were the Duchess of Cambridge, at the time heavily pregnant and expecting any day (she delivered two days after the event!) and Prince Phillip, recovering from surgery.

Performers included Kylie Minogue, Sting, Shaggy and Shawn Mendes. All proceeds of the concert benefit The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, a charity launched to help bolster efforts of young people to excel in areas like education, health and the environment across Commonwealth countries.  The Queen is a patron of the organization, and Prince Harry is the president.

The Queen wore a long, three-strand pearl necklace, Cartier bracelet formerly owned by the Queen Mother, and Garrard cluster earrings from Queen Alexandra's parure.
