The Jewelers Disaster Relief Fund was created by Jewelers of America, the Diamond Council of America and National Jeweler as a countermeasure against Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Now the fund is looking to lend a helping hand towards those affected by the latest meteorological disaster, Hurricane Michael.
The fund was initially intended to help retailers in times of crisis during harsh disasters like Harvey but became more of a permanent fixture after witnessing Hurricane Irma's effects as well as the fires taking place in the West Coast.
Folks are still reeling from Hurricane Michael, a Category 4 Hurricane that tore apart the Florida Panhandle last Wednesday, devastating towns.
People who wish to make any donations can visit the Disaster Relief Fund’s GoFundMe page below.
Any Jewelers who have been affected by Hurricane Michael should fill out this form.
Last year, the fund raised around $30,000 and distributed aid to 19 Florida and Texas-based jewelers who applied for aid.
