The workers at both Kay Jewelers and Rogers & Hollands will be able to celebrate what they're thankful for due to their employers giving them Thanksgiving day off. Both companies, the former being the most significant U.S. jewelry chain, have issued statements.
Kay’s executive general manager, Bill Luth said “Love and gratitude are two values we stand for every day at Kay. That’s why it is important that our team members celebrate these values with their loved ones to create lasting memories.”
The president and CEO of Rogers Enterprises stated that “Our decision to close every Thanksgiving Day since we’ve been in business is based on our commitment to family spending quality time with loved ones during the holiday season.”
A number of other retailers will be closing for Thanksgiving, allowing their employees some time with their families. These companies, according to a list by USA Today, include Sam's Club, Bj's, Nordstrom, and more.
