One year ago, Lisa Bridge had been given the opportunity to occupy the president and chief operating officer position at Ben Bridge Jeweler. Now, it appears that she has officially been named the company's CEO after taking the reins from her father Ed Bridge who will retire on Jan. 31, 2019.
“I cherish the relationships I have with our team and the treasured friendships with our many industry partners,” said Ed Bridge of his four-decade career in an issued statement. “I feel thankful to have had the best mentors and bosses one could ask for in my father Bob Bridge, my uncle Herb Bridge, and Berkshire Hathaway’s CEO Warren Buffett.”
Lisa Bridge will be the first female president and CEO of this 95-store chain. Not only that, but she will be the fifth generation of her family to hold a leadership position within this company. She had recently overseen a redesign of the company's stores, placing more of an educational spin on an open layout. One aspect of that includes bringing the craftsmen toward the front of the store so that customers can admire their work.
